The SSTI GROUP of NEW YORK, LLC is a minority consulting company that is not your average consultant but one that is focused on providing guidance and individual assistance with implementing your process improvements, lean implementation, recruitment and training, quality and procurement improvements and procedures. We work with large, medium, and small size businesses. We can help companies to develop manufacturing plans, strategic planning, new business development, organization structuring and restructuring, along with helping with work load balancing and standardization.

We work with clients to help them look at and expand into new markets, develop new products that will be readily accepted in the market place, we help our clients find partners and suppliers that will help them improve their bottom line.

No project is too big or small SSTI, if needed we have relationships with other companies that can provide assistance to help when it is needed. We treat our clients as if we are the owners and give every project regardless of the size.

RICHARD FERGUSON


Richard works as an independent consultant through his company, SSTI GROUP of NEW YORK, LLC specializing in lean manufacturing concepts, process and continuous improvements, business and plant consolidation, recruitment and training of employees, quality and procurement improvements, new business development, strategic and manufacturing planning, along with working with organization structuring, work balancing and standardization.

Richard serves as ITAC’s ( Industrial Technology Assistance Corporation) of New York City role of Manufacturer-In-Residence. He provides ITAC with a wealth of knowledge and experience in manufacturing operations, with his lean, product improvement, quality, engineering, and supply chain leadership. He has worked with small and large companies, and through his work has helped them develop new business opportunities and grow to new levels of profitability. In his role as MIR, he work with ITAC’s team of professionals to grow NYC companies.
Richard has over 20 years of management experience directly with automotive OEMs, including being part of the original start-up team for Nissan Motor Manufacturing Corporation in Smyrna, Tennessee. Also while at Ford Motor Company, he was involved with start-ups at the Batavia, Oh transmission plant and the launch of the Ford F250/350 heavy duty pickup truck in Louisville, Ky. He held management positions in the final assembly operations for both companies. Richard was also plant manager for tier one auto supplier. He has experience in the metals industry serving on the board of directors for a publicly traded scrap and recycling company. He served as New Business Development and Strategic Planning Manager for steel processing and service center, and served as Director of New Venture Initiatives and Lean Manufacturing advisor for an aluminum manufacturing company located in Kentucky.
